Christmas is a very festive time in Spain. Streets in the larger cities are beautifully decorated and stores filled with seasonal gifts and crafts. Christmas Day you will not find much open, as most will be attending mass.
On New Years, many towns organize street parties. Most restaurants are open to private parties only, so look on your itinerary to make sure that dinner is included on New Years Eve.
