Travel from Barcelona into the dramatic Pyrenees and along Spain's northern coast, with stays at historic paradors in San Sebastián, Fuente Dé, León, and the incomparable Santiago de Compostela; our popular Spain journey continues into Portugal to Porto and ends Lisbon.

Step back in Time... on a journey that spans centuries and borders. Art and architecture capture your whimsy in Gaudí's Barcelona, contrasting with the Gothic influences from its medieval days. Scenic roads wind through the Pyrenees and Picos de Europa, welcoming you at paradors steeped in authenticity and history. Basque country evokes images of bulls in Pamplona and pintxos and big waves in San Sebastián. Pilgrims seek miracles on El Camino de Santiago, finding hospitality still in a 15th-century hotel. Port wine, mysterious shrines, an esteemed university and monuments chronicle life in Portugal.
